WELCOME VISITORS!  Thank you for giving us an opportunity to worship with you today. Our prayer is that together we might experience both God’s love and presence. Our goal is to be a friendly, welcoming congregation and we trust that you will find us so. Please contact Pastor Rob for more information about New Journey.

CHILD CARE: The Nursery, for babies and children through four years of age, is located in the educational wing just past the elevator, in Room 113. Baby changing tables are available in the narthex restroom and in the nursery.

Virtual Adult Sunday Study

•Virtual Adult Sunday Study – We will be holding a virtual study through New Journey’s Zoom internet connection that will allow all who are interested to attend through an internet connection and use of the Zoom meeting format.  This is an easy process to maneuver.
•We will be studying the 2013 book by Dr. James Cone entitled “The Cross and the Lynching Tree.”  This study will look at our faith through the lens of suffering and hope.  Dr. Cone is a Black Theologian who spent his life working with the issues of faith, suffering and hope from the African-American perspective. David can help you obtain the book
•If interested, please email David Markel at davidRmarkel@yahoo.com or call David at 269-591-2980.
•Hope to see you (virtually)!

BE MISSION-MINDED!!!

MISSION FOR OCTOBER CWS Church World Service – Animals, seeds, tools.

EVY’S CLOSET, our free clothing ministry for women, is allowing shopping by appointment only. Please call the church office to make an appointment at 683-7250. Only one shopper can shop at a time and shoppers must wear a mask at all times. We are accepting donations during office hours Monday through Thursday. Larger sizes are especially needed. Thanks.

UMCOR   Although we are accepting pocket change would you consider making a donation and indicating UMCOR on your envelope to help feed the hungry? We send that money to the United Methodist Committee on Relief, to address the issues of poverty and hunger around the world. Your donations each week can make a difference in the lives of the poor. Please be generous! Please keep in mind our credit union no longer accepts foreign currency. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

COOKIE WALK 2020

We are planning our annual Cookie Walk to support Cross-Cultural Ministries, which is also the mission of the month of July. Support for this mission is vital during this unprecedented time of need. Order forms are available in the Narthex. Orders will be accepted through Sunday, October 25th. To help contact Cindy Jackson at 269-357-1928 to indicate whether you want to bake at church or bake at home. More information will be available in the newsletter
